Our Story
The Lewa Wildlife Conservancy was established in 1983 as a private rhino sanctuary in East Africa, dedicated to protecting Kenya's black rhinos. Over the years, it has evolved into a model for wildlife conservation, integrating community development and education.
Impact
Lewa is home to 248 rhinos, representing 12% of Kenya's total rhino population, and has recorded zero poaching incidents since 2020. The organization has directly impacted over 10,000 children through its education programs.
