Our Story

Founded by M.T. “Buddy” Minyard in memory of his wife Clairene, Leukemia Texas has been a beacon of hope for those affected by leukemia since 1967. With a mission to combat this disease, the organization has evolved over the years, led by Buddy's daughters, Liz Lokey and Gretchen Williams, who continue to honor their father's legacy. Over 53 years, Leukemia Texas has served thousands of Texans, awarding over $10 million in research and patient aid.
