Our Story

Founded in 1894, Lenox Hill Neighborhood House began as a free kindergarten for immigrants and has evolved into one of the oldest settlement houses in the nation. The mission remains steadfast: to educate children, feed the hungry, care for the elderly, and advocate for vulnerable individuals. By providing comprehensive services to immigrants and low-income New Yorkers, the organization helps individuals gain the skills necessary to strengthen themselves and build a better community.
