Lemonade International

Our Story

Over a decade ago, Tita Evertsz began her mission to uplift the community of La Limonada, a neighborhood shaped by the aftermath of a 36-year civil war. This conflict fostered extreme poverty and limited opportunities for education and employment. In 2001, Vidas Plenas was established to support Tita's vision, leading to the formation of Lemonade International, dedicated to breaking cycles of poverty, violence, and injustice in Central America’s largest urban slum.

Impact

Lemonade International has opened four academies, serving hundreds of children and providing them with hope and educational opportunities. The organization has witnessed remarkable transformations, including the rehabilitation of gang members and the return of former students as teachers and counselors in their communities.
