Our Story

The Lehigh Valley Community Broadcasters Association was established in 1984 to provide community-based radio programming. It began as a grassroots effort to keep the college radio station, WMUH, operational during breaks. Over the years, the LVCBA successfully launched WDIY, a public radio station that went on air in 1995, offering alternatives to mainstream media and a platform for local voices.

Impact

Since its inception, WDIY has seen remarkable growth, with a 60% increase in membership in its first year and over 500% growth in contributions. The station has received numerous awards for its programming and community engagement.
