EIN: 41-0961835 · Minneapolis, MN
Our Story
The Legal Rights Center was founded in 1970 by Black and Indigenous community activists aiming to create a law firm dedicated to serving low-income communities and communities of color. This initiative emerged from the inequities faced during the Civil Rights Movement, with a focus on providing culturally sensitive legal counsel and social justice advocacy.
Impact
By offering free legal services and advocacy, the Legal Rights Center seeks justice and promotes racial equity for historically marginalized communities, transforming the legal system to better serve these populations.
