Legal Clinic for the Disabled

Empowering Lives Through Legal Advocacy
Founded in 1987, the Legal Clinic for the Disabled (LCD) emerged from a vision to address the unmet legal needs of individuals with disabilities. Starting with just one attorney at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital, LCD has expanded its reach over the past 35 years, positively impacting thousands of low-income individuals with disabilities across Philadelphia and its surrounding counties. The clinic was established through a collaboration between the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Philadelphia Bar Association, creating one of the first medical-legal partnerships in the country.
Making a Difference in the Community
LCD provides comprehensive legal services in various civil law areas, including housing stability and community outreach. By understanding the unique challenges faced by people with disabilities, LCD advocates for their rights and offers solutions that foster hope and transparency. The dedicated team of attorneys and advocates works tirelessly to ensure that every client receives the justice they deserve.
