Empowering Communities Through Education and Labor

Founded in 2018 by dedicated community and labor leaders, Labor Economic Education Empowerment (LEEP) is committed to eliminating barriers faced by underserved and under-skilled individuals. By connecting marginalized community members to essential resources, LEEP facilitates access to programs that foster self-sufficiency through labor careers. The organization actively addresses the exclusion from trades, promoting resilience and economic empowerment in Delaware.

Significant Impact on Workforce Development

LEEP has made remarkable strides in workforce development with programs like Pathways to Apprenticeship (P2A) and Pathways to Business (P2B). P2A, a pre-apprenticeship program funded by the Department of Labor, boasts an impressive 85% job placement rate for participants in union construction trade apprenticeships. Meanwhile, P2B supports minority, woman-owned, and small emerging firms in competing for public and private construction projects.
