Our Story

The Memphis Jazz Workshop was founded by Stephen Lee to fill a critical gap in music education for young jazz musicians in Memphis. Established in 2016, this organization provides high-level instruction and mentorship, connecting students with the rich tradition of jazz music.

Impact

Since its inception, the Memphis Jazz Workshop has experienced remarkable growth, doubling enrollment year over year. With 70 students in the after-school program and 80 in the summer program, every high school senior has graduated and pursued higher education, showcasing the program's positive influence on their futures.
