About Learn to Cope

Learn to Cope is a peer-led support group dedicated to families and loved ones impacted by substance use disorder. Founded in 2004 by Joanne Peterson, this organization has expanded from a small local meeting to over 12,700 members across 27 chapters in Massachusetts and a chapter in Florida. It offers education, resources, and hope to those affected by addiction.

Impact of Learn to Cope

Since 2011, Learn to Cope has successfully reversed hundreds of opioid overdoses through training programs and the distribution of Nasal Naloxone kits. Collaborating with state and local authorities, the organization promotes prevention, education, and advocacy, helping families navigate the challenges of addiction.
