LEAP Learning Systems, founded by speech-language pathologists Dr. Katie Gottfred and Dr. John Lybolt, is dedicated to empowering children, teens, and young adults from under-resourced Black and Brown communities. Initially working with children in Chicago Housing Authority residences, LEAP has expanded its reach by training educators to implement research-based lessons that enhance students' oral and written language skills.

Over thirty years, LEAP has positively impacted tens of thousands of teachers, students, and families through its programs in low-resource classrooms across Chicago and selected Downstate communities.
