LEAP for Education

Our Story

Founded in 2002 as Salem CyberSpace, LEAP for Education has transformed from a free Internet cafe into a vital community academic learning center. Located in low-income neighborhoods, LEAP focuses on expanding academic and career opportunities for underserved youth. Over the years, the organization has adapted its programs to meet community needs, launching mentoring initiatives and forming partnerships with local schools and businesses. To date, LEAP has positively impacted over 3,000 students across Gloucester, Lynn, Peabody, and Salem.

LEAP for Education empowers underserved students to achieve social and economic mobility through personal, educational, and career growth. The organization boasts a high percentage of students graduating high school and enrolling in post-secondary education.
