Our Story

In 2012, Hanko Kiessner, CEO of Packsize®, took a stand for air quality in Salt Lake City. Motivated by a moral responsibility, he initiated efforts to reduce tailpipe emissions by driving electric vehicles. To promote this cause, he began distributing free charging stations to local businesses, which led to the formation of Leaders for Clean Air (LFCA) on January 20, 2015. Today, LFCA continues to expand electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure and educate the community about EVs, with over 1,000 chargers installed across Utah.

Impact

Leaders for Clean Air has empowered over 400 companies to develop their EV plans, resulting in the installation of more than 3,000 EV charging stations. This initiative has secured an average of $13,238 in incentives per project, significantly contributing to the reduction of millions of pounds of CO2 emissions.
