Our Story

Lawyers Defending American Democracy was founded in October 2018 by a group of dedicated legal professionals, including Scott Harshbarger and Gary Ratner. This grassroots movement emerged in response to perceived threats to the rule of law and democratic principles in the United States. LDAD unites lawyers to uphold legal norms and demand accountability from public officials, emphasizing a non-partisan approach to preserving democracy.
