Revitalizing Lawndale's Economy

The Lawndale Business Renaissance Association is dedicated to revitalizing the Lawndale community, which once thrived with major manufacturing and retail operations. Following the riots after Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s assassination in 1968, Lawndale lost 75% of its businesses, leading to a decline in economic activity. Today, LBRA works tirelessly to bring new businesses to the area, retain existing ones, and help them grow through economic development programs and incentives.

Creating Jobs and Opportunities

Through its initiatives, LBRA has significantly impacted the local economy by fostering job creation and supporting a vibrant community. Members have benefited from local grants, employee training opportunities, and access to job fairs, which connect them with local residents seeking employment. Networking opportunities have also been instrumental in building relationships with neighboring businesses and community organizations.

Support the Renaissance of Lawndale
