Revitalizing Lawndale's Economy
The Lawndale Business Renaissance Association is dedicated to revitalizing the Lawndale community, which once thrived with major manufacturing and retail operations. Following the riots after Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s assassination in 1968, Lawndale lost 75% of its businesses, leading to a decline in economic activity. Today, LBRA works tirelessly to bring new businesses to the area, retain existing ones, and help them grow through economic development programs and incentives.
