Our Story
Laurens Academy began in the fall of 1994 with just ten fifth-grade students in the fellowship hall of Todd Memorial Presbyterian Church. Founded by a dedicated group of parents and educators, the school was established to provide a local alternative to the educational options available in Laurens County. Despite facing challenges, including a devastating fire in 1996 that destroyed the middle school and library, Laurens Academy persevered and built a new Educational/Athletic facility. The Class of 2002 marked a significant milestone as the first graduating class, and today, Laurens Academy proudly serves students from K4 through 12th grade, focusing on college preparatory education while nurturing the whole child in a Christian environment.
