Our Story

The Latino Learning Center, Inc. was founded in October 1979 by three veterans dedicated to uplifting the underprivileged residents of the East End of Houston. Over the years, the center has adapted to the evolving needs of the community, especially during the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The founders, Frank Orozco, Judge Abraham Ramirez, and John Aleman, have tirelessly worked to improve the lives of families, emphasizing the importance of support and solidarity.

Impact

With a commitment to community development and education, the Latino Learning Center has provided direct services to 1,762 individuals and vocational training to 160 students.
