Founded in 1998, the Latino Leadership Institute, Inc. (LLI) is dedicated to politically empowering Latinos and other underrepresented minorities in New York City. With a mission to increase participation in the democratic process, LLI trains, organizes, and mobilizes community members to advocate for their needs and aspirations.

Impacting Lives and Communities

Since its inception, LLI has graduated over 500 students from its Academy, many of whom have gone on to become influential leaders, including the first Latina Speaker of the New York City Council. Recognized by the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics, LLI continues to make a significant impact in the community.
