Our Story

Latino Educational Achievement Partnership (LEAP) began in 2008 when dedicated volunteers from St. Philip's and St. Luke's Episcopal Churches provided English-as-a-Second-Language tutoring to adults at Iglesia El Buen Pastor. Responding to the needs of the community, these volunteers shifted their focus in 2010 to support the school-aged children of these families. Over the years, LEAP has expanded its offerings, creating its first preschool class in 2012 and opening a second preschool in 2015. In 2019, LEAP proudly launched its first class for 3-year-olds at Nuestra Escuelita, fostering a love for learning from an early age.

Our Impact

Using the nationally recognized 'Teaching Strategies' evaluation tool, LEAP measures the social, physical, and academic growth of its students. Remarkably, 90% of our students complete the year ready for kindergarten across all metrics.
