Our Story

Latino Behavioral Health Services (LBHS) was founded by Jacqueline Gomez-Arias and Teresa Molina to address the urgent need for mental health services in Utah's Latinx community. Recognizing the barriers faced by this population, they established NAMI Latino to offer peer-based programs in Spanish. In 2013, LBHS was created to provide culturally and linguistically responsive behavioral health services.

Impact

LBHS is dedicated to protecting emotional health and preventing suicide among Utah’s teens and adults, focusing on the mental health needs of a vulnerable population.
