Our Story

Lanta Animal Welfare was founded by Junie Kovacs in 2005 with a heartfelt mission to end the suffering of homeless, abused, and injured animals on Koh Lanta. Since then, the organization has made significant strides in animal welfare.

To date, Lanta Animal Welfare has sterilised and treated over 15,000 animals, greatly reducing the number of homeless and suffering animals in the region.
