Landis Communities began in the early 1960s with a vision to create a community for retired mission workers and pastors. Inspired by the Eastern Mennonite Board of Missions and Charities, the founders aimed to establish a Christ-centered environment rather than a traditional nursing home. This vision has guided Landis Communities for over 60 years, fostering a vibrant community for older adults.
