Our Story

In 1976, four passionate volunteers came together to form the Natural Areas Conservancy of West Michigan, laying the groundwork for a mission to identify, protect, and care for the region's natural treasures. Over the years, this organization evolved into the Land Conservancy of West Michigan, an accredited land trust based in Grand Rapids. With a dedicated board and professional staff, the organization has expanded its efforts to conserve vital landscapes.

Impact

To date, the Land Conservancy has successfully protected over 12,972 acres across eight counties, ensuring that these natural areas remain accessible for enjoyment and ecological preservation.
