About Lalafofofo

Lalafofofo is a grassroots, women-led civil society organization founded in 2015 by Tanzanian Gaudencia Mtunga and American Laura Vaughan. Operating in rural Northern Tanzania, it partners with three remote villages to uplift communities living in extreme poverty.

Impact

Through year-round programs, Lalafofofo aims to break the cycle of extreme poverty, enhancing the lives of approximately 4,200 Maasai individuals in the Kilimanjaro region.
