About Lakeside's River Park Conservancy

Founded in 2001, Lakeside's River Park Conservancy is dedicated to transforming reclaimed sand mined property along the San Diego River into a vibrant river park. The organization has made significant strides in habitat restoration and community engagement since acquiring its first 100 acres in 2003.

Impact on the Community

With over 600,000 cubic yards of fill restored, a mile of the San Diego River trail created, and more than 30,000 plants planted, the Conservancy is committed to enhancing the ecological health of the river.
