Founded in 1995, the Lake Worth West Resident Planning Group, now known as Family Impact Palm Beach County, emerged from a community's desire to reclaim their neighborhood from crime and neglect. With nonprofit status achieved in 1999, the organization has steadily expanded its reach and impact, working hand-in-hand with local officials to enhance infrastructure, beautify neighborhoods, and provide educational opportunities.

Through the support of Palm Beach County, Lake Worth West became a pioneering revitalization area, leading to significant improvements such as the establishment of community parks and the transformation of a former "crack house" into a vibrant community center. These efforts have paved the way for essential services and programs that uplift families and individuals.

In 2002, the organization launched the Family Resource Center, funded by the Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County, which has since evolved into a vital hub for early childhood education, parenting workshops, and youth development programs. By 2003, the center was relocated to better serve the community, and the organization was recognized as one of ten BRIDGES sites in the county, enabling it to provide critical support for healthy births, child abuse prevention, and educational readiness.

Today, Family Impact Palm Beach County continues to lead the charge in transforming lives and communities, ensuring that families have the resources they need to thrive. The rebranding in 2023 reflects the organization's commitment to making a lasting impact on families in Palm Beach County.
