Our Story

The Lake Stevens Community Food Bank began in 1978 in the basement of Ebenezer Lutheran Church, where dedicated volunteers collected and stored food to assist families in need. Formally organized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 1983, the food bank has grown significantly, now serving over 3,000 families each month. In June 2023, it moved into a new dedicated space after 40 years of service from the church basement.

Impact

Each month, the food bank serves over 8,500 individuals, distributing more than 800,000 pounds of food annually. It provides a zero-barrier service that offers care, hope, and judgment-free assistance to those in need.
