Our Story
The Lake Monroe Water Fund was established in 2021 to connect funding sources with the sustainability goals of Lake Monroe, the sole water source for over 128,000 residents in Monroe County. Formed by a coalition including The Nature Conservancy and local utilities, the Fund addresses critical threats to water quality from sedimentation and nutrient runoff.
