About Lake Mary High School NJROTC

The Lake Mary High School Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) program, established in 1995, has grown to encompass around 200 cadets under the guidance of three dedicated instructors. This program, rooted in Public Law since 1964, is designed to cultivate leadership and citizenship among students. The curriculum covers essential naval topics, including seamanship, navigation, and maritime heritage, while also emphasizing the importance of community service and personal responsibility.

Impact of NJROTC

Through the NJROTC program, students develop a strong sense of citizenship and service, with 47% of graduates pursuing military careers and 61% continuing their education. This program not only prepares students for future challenges but also instills values that last a lifetime.
