Our Story
The Lake Lure Flowering Bridge, dedicated on October 13, 2013, is a stunning transformation of the historic Bridge #7 in Lake Lure, North Carolina. Originally built in 1925, this bridge served traffic until its decommissioning in January 2011. A dedicated group of citizens formed the Friends of the Lake Lure Flowering Bridge to preserve this landmark, creating 30 themed gardens over two years. Today, it attracts over 180,000 visitors annually, serving as a vibrant community space.
