Our Story
The Lake Erie Arboretum at Frontier, known as LEAF, was inspired by a chance visit to an arboretum in Youngstown, Ohio. Founders Dan and Kathy Dahlkemper envisioned a similar space for Erie, leading to the establishment of LEAF in Frontier Park. Since its dedication in 2001, after years of planning and community support, LEAF has transformed the park into a vibrant green space.
