Our Story

Founded in 1991 at Kanahā Beach, Maui, Lae'ula O Kai Canoe Club was established by Desmon Antone and Sharon Balidoy through the State of Hawaii's 'Adopt-A-Park' program. The club is dedicated to perpetuating Hawaiian canoe paddling traditions and values, creating an inclusive environment for all ages.
