Our Story

Lab Rescue of Greater Richmond (LRGR) was founded in 2006 by a group of compassionate individuals dedicated to saving neglected and homeless Labradors. Starting with just 30 rescues in our first year, LRGR has grown significantly, now rescuing over 100 Labradors annually from shelters across Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. With the support of more than 100 dedicated volunteers, including loving foster families and adoption coordinators, LRGR has transformed the lives of countless Labradors in need.
