Founded in 2006 by Father Robert Joel Cruz, La Mision Encontrándome con Cristo Guatemala Mission is dedicated to serving the poorest of the poor in remote areas of Guatemala. Inspired by the Gospel of Matthew 25:34-40, missionaries from the United States and Guatemala work tirelessly to provide clean drinking water, solar-powered electricity, and educational opportunities to those in need.
Over the last decade, La Mision has positively impacted the lives of over 260 families, built a community center, outfitted 6 churches with solar panels and musical instruments, and awarded 33 scholarships to students pursuing higher education.
