Our Story

Founded in 1966 as History Builders, La Casa de Esperanza began its journey by providing essential educational services to the growing Hispanic community in Waukesha. Initially offering English language classes and establishing La Escuelita, a bilingual preschool, the organization evolved over the years. Renamed in 1968, La Casa de Esperanza has expanded its services to include financial literacy, workforce development, tax assistance, food services, and low-income housing, becoming the largest human service organization in Waukesha County.
