Our Story

In the early 1980s, Col. Charles Duggan recognized a lack of support for scientific research in Long Island high schools. His advocacy led to the establishment of the Long Island Science & Engineering Fair (LISEF) in 1985, which has since evolved into a vital platform for aspiring scientists.

Impact

LISEF promotes excellence in scientific inquiry among secondary school students in Nassau and Suffolk Counties, NY, allowing them to showcase their projects and compete at the International Science and Engineering Fair.
