Our Story

In 1983, an interfaith group of leaders from the San Fernando Valley recognized the alarming rise in family homelessness. They rallied local support and raised funds to purchase the Fiesta Motel in North Hollywood, transforming it into a safe haven for families in need. This initiative laid the foundation for LA Family Housing, which has evolved into one of the largest providers of housing and homeless services in Los Angeles, serving over 14,000 individuals annually.

LA Family Housing is dedicated to ending homelessness for good by providing housing and essential life-saving services. Utilizing evidence-based best practices, the organization operates 40 properties that offer temporary, affordable, and permanent supportive housing across Los Angeles.
