Kyoung’s Pacific Beat

Our Story

Kyoung’s Pacific Beat began as an underground collective of artists in a midtown apartment, evolving into a vibrant company dedicated to serving queer, Asian-American, Latinx, and immigrant communities. The ensemble, known as Mondragons, practices collective ownership and consensus-based decision-making in all aspects of their work.

Impact

Since 2011, Kyoung’s Pacific Beat has devised four full-length plays and over 40 community-based projects, focusing on the intersections of (im)migration, queerness, and trauma.
