Our Story

The Kyoto Symposium Organization was founded in 2004 in California as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Its mission is to organize the Kyoto Prize Symposium in San Diego, promoting education and the ideals of the Inamori Foundation. By recognizing individuals who have made significant contributions in technology, science, and the arts, KSO upholds the legacy of Dr. Kazuo Inamori.
