Our Story
Founded in October 2019, Kudzu Cat Alliance is dedicated to stabilizing and ultimately reducing community cat populations in Cobb County, Georgia. Through a spay-neuter program known as Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), the organization addresses the issue of free-roaming, unowned cats that contribute to the growing number of kittens entering animal control and shelters. By humanely trapping these cats, providing them with spay-neuter surgeries and vaccinations, and returning them to their colonies, Kudzu Cat Alliance ensures that these animals live healthier, safer lives without increasing their numbers.
In addition to TNR, the organization offers veterinary care for sick or injured community cats and food support to caretakers in need. Educational initiatives inform the public about the benefits of TNR, while collaborations with property owners, residents, local rescues, and caretakers help identify and serve community cat colonies. Kudzu Cat Alliance also provides trap loans and TNR training, along with resources for those interested in community cat care and kitten socialization. Whenever possible, the organization rescues kittens from outdoor environments, providing them with safe indoor homes.
