Founded in the wake of the Virginia Tech tragedy on April 16, 2007, the Koshka Foundation for Safe Schools was established to honor the memory of that day through meaningful action. The foundation focuses on preventing, responding to, and healing from mass shootings by equipping K-12 and higher education institutions, first responders, and emergency managers with essential resources and training.
