Our Story
Established in 2004, the Korean American Women's Association (THE KAWA) is dedicated to empowering Korean American women through education and job training. With a foundation rooted in Christian faith, members volunteer tirelessly to enhance the community. Over the years, THE KAWA has tailored programs to meet the unique needs of volunteers and the community, overcoming challenges such as language and cultural barriers faced by first-generation Korean American women. Today, three generations of women—mothers, daughters, and granddaughters—work together to serve and uplift the community.
