Our Story

Korean American Community Services Inc, founded in November 1979 by Hee Shik Kim and Young Ja Kim, began with a mission to address the social and economic challenges faced by Korean Americans in Santa Clara County. With the support of dedicated volunteers, KACS has grown from serving 10,000 individuals to over 40,000 community members today. The organization focuses on assisting recent immigrants and first-generation Korean American seniors, who often face barriers such as limited English proficiency and social isolation.

KACS is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for vulnerable Korean Americans by providing access to essential services and programs. Annually, KACS delivers more than 35,000 units of services, bridging the gap between community needs and available resources.
