Our Story

Koko began as a side project by Rob Morris, a graduate student at MIT, who aimed to use technology to support mental health. After facing personal struggles with depression and migraines, he developed a platform that crowdsourced therapy, allowing users to help each other. Today, Koko has evolved into a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free mental health support to young people, leveraging partnerships with major online platforms to reach those in need.

Impact

Koko has reached over 5,000,000 young people, with 91% of users finding the service helpful. The organization aims to expand its reach and make mental health support universally accessible and free.

Why Donate?
