About KMAC Museum
Founded in 1981 by former Kentucky first lady Phyllis George, KMAC Museum was established to celebrate the state’s rich craft heritage. Originally known as the Kentucky Art and Craft Foundation, it evolved into the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft in 2001 and was rebranded as KMAC Museum in 2016. The museum connects people to art and creative practice through engaging exhibitions, educational programs, and community outreach.
