Our Story

The Kishwaukee Family YMCA was founded in the mid-fifties, inspired by Walter Henry's vision for a DeKalb YMCA. Incorporated in August 1957, it began serving the community in March 1958. Over the years, the YMCA has evolved while steadfastly promoting the physical, mental, and spiritual welfare of all individuals, regardless of their background.
