Established in July 1971, Kimochi, Inc. is a dedicated nonprofit senior service agency located in San Francisco’s Japantown. Founded to provide culturally sensitive services to Japanese American seniors, Kimochi began with Sansei assisting Issei in navigating mainstream services. Over the years, the organization has expanded its offerings to include nutrition, transportation, and social services, now operating five sites across San Francisco and San Mateo.
Kimochi serves approximately 3,000 Bay Area seniors and their families each year, enhancing their quality of life and independence through tailored programs.
