Our Story
The Kijabe Children’s Education Fund began in 2007 when Nancy Mering and her friends visited Kenya. They met Esther Waweru, the founder of Gentle Bells Preparatory School, who was dedicated to educating children in impoverished conditions. Inspired by Esther's vision, KCEF was established to support her mission.

KCEF is committed to providing educational opportunities to children in rural Kenya and the slums of Nairobi, ensuring they are nourished in body, mind, and spirit.
