Austin Bat Cave is a creative community dedicated to empowering students aged 6 to 18 in Central Texas through innovative writing programs. Founded in 2007, the organization focuses on providing safe and accessible writing instruction, particularly in Title 1 schools.

Making an Impact

Partnering with nearly two dozen Title 1 schools and nonprofits, Austin Bat Cave teaches over 1,000 students annually, helping them publish hundreds of new writers in their annual anthology. The organization has also expanded its services to include college essay support and virtual writing workshops during the COVID crisis.
