Our Story
Identifying a gap in services for military-connected children, a military family established Kids Rank in December 2011. This 501c(3) organization was created to assist children in adjusting to frequent relocations, providing hands-on, skill-building programming designed to foster resilience through our core pillars of CONNECT, LEAD, and SERVE. Since launching our first club group of 10 kids in Great Lakes, Illinois, in 2012, Kids Rank has celebrated over a decade of impactful programming, serving more than 900 children who have moved globally, including locations like Japan, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
In 2017, Kids Rank expanded into the Englewood community in Chicago, focusing on underserved children of veterans and collaborating with local organizations to address their unique needs. Our mission recognizes that military children serve their communities just as their parents do, bearing the burdens and sacrifices of service. Our programs are open to school-aged military children from all branches of service, including active duty, reservists, retirees, and Families of the Fallen.
